The Next Generation Introduces Themselves

Hampton, VA played host to Nike EYBL Session 1, and while the aesthetics may not have matched past events, the talent on the court spoke volumes. We focused on the younger divisions to shine a light on the athletes and programs not yet in the spotlight. From high-level stat lines to under-the-radar breakouts, here are the names that made waves.

Standout Performers

Jordyn Jones (2029) – Exodus NYC 15U EYBL

Jones has a college-ready frame and looks like a future top-five prospect at her position in the 2029 class. In a blowout win over Team Durant, she dominated the boards on both ends. She’s got soft hands, a strong second jump, and excellent touch around the rim.
➡️ Projected Level: High-Major Division I

Ryan Edwards (2030) – HER Elite 15U EYCL

Edwards showed poise beyond her years playing up a level. She has great size, a smooth downhill attack, and a confident outside shot. She leads a young group that could surprise many by summer’s end.
➡️ Projected Level: Low-to-Mid Major Division I

JOY PETTIGREW (2030) – MIDWEST ELITE MEANSTREETS

Pettigrew dominated on both ends of the floor and made it look easy. She can really knock down shots from outside, get to the rim, and plays with swagger. A must watch this Summer.
➡️ Projected Level: Mid-High Major Division I

KRISTEN WINSTON (2029) – AL. SO STARZ 16U EYBL

All eyes on Winston as she dominated in every game. She did it all, passing, scoring from the mid-range/outside, just an all around great performance from her. Winston has the goods and every major program is probably on her by now. Adding strength to her frame, as she gets older, will boost her value as a prospect even more.

➡️ Projected Level: High-Major Division I

Saniyah Murray (2027) – MS ALL-N 16U EYCL

With coaches from the ACC, Big Ten, and SEC courtside, Murray proved she’s legit. She scores from all three levels and showcased good footwork and balance. A stronger frame will only raise her stock.
➡️ Projected Level: High-Major Division I

Falla Mbacke (2028) – Riverside Hawks 15U EYCL

Falla caught fire with a personal 10-0 run vs. Exodus Europe. She attacks from all three levels, has a quick first step, and her midrange pull-up is tough to stop. As she sharpens her ability to create space, her ceiling rises.
➡️ Projected Level: Mid-Major Division I (with upside)

Hailey Benbow (2028) – Jersey Gems 16U EYBL

Benbow might end up one of the best in the 2028 class. She gets to her spots with ease, handles the ball well, and has a reliable pull-up jumper. An ACC program has already taken notice, and more Power 4s will follow.
➡️ Projected Level: High-Major Division I

Player Watchlist

Early names to track this spring and summer.

Savannah Bookout (2028) – AL Southern Starz 15U EYBL

Nice footwork, active rebounder, and a soft touch around the rim. Shows excellent feel for the paint and natural toughness.

Zaria Eniojukan (2029) – Kia Nurse Elite 15U EYBL

High basketball IQ, can handle the ball well, and has impressive vision. A complete wing still developing physically.

Amari Alexander (2030) – Palmetto 76ers / A’ja Wilson Elite 14U Jr EYBL

Physical, aggressive, and defensively engaged. Loves getting downhill and uses her body effectively to finish through contact.
