Georgia Amoore contributed a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists, while Matilda Ekh added 11 points to the mix.

Virginia Tech exhibited excellent ball movement throughout Sunday's game, tallying 16 assists on 27 made field goals, with Amoore leading the charge with her 11 assists, marking a season-high for the Hokies.

On the defensive end, the Hokies stifled North Carolina, limiting them to just 39 percent shooting from the field, including a mere 29.4 percent from beyond the arc. Additionally, North Carolina struggled to capitalize on offensive rebounds, managing only six, which translated to just seven second-chance points. In contrast, Virginia Tech dominated the boards with 32 defensive rebounds. The Virginia Tech women's basketball team secured a decisive 74-62 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels at home.

With this crucial win, Tech secures the top seed in next month's ACC Tournament in Greensboro. Their chance to clinch the regular-season title outright awaits them on Thursday night as they hit the road to face Notre Dame.
