In a gym full of prospects in the classes of 2024 - 2027 along with a sprinkle of younger participants from the Middle School ranks  all the players were locked in, focused and ready as the competitive games begin. With two courts running simultaneously and wall to wall talent, there were a number of players who I have seen previously along with some new faces that I got a first look at. Here are a few of the prospects caught my eye during the day.   

24' Vanessa Mcmanus (NY) Scoring guard with broad shoulders and solid base, holding her line through contact and getting to her spots. Great job with draw and dish, has the ability to score on all 3 levels and excels in transition. Needs to be more vocal and show more leadership at the lead guard spot. 

24' Monique Monplaiser (ON) Strong built guard, with high activity. A willing defender showing lateral speed and good anticipation. A physical presence she banged for rebounds and finished through contact around the rim. Teased with a few pull ups in transition but needs to be a more consistent shooter and maintain energy level. Solid prospect  

25' Lauren Gentile (NJ) Easily the most efficient shooter in the gym from range. I watched the kid from Jersey City knock down 5 straight 3's in a row, three of which were created off the bounce (added since last see) savvy with the ball in her hands she set up teammates well making everyone around her better. She was also active on the defensive end with improved foot speed. Will keep an eye on this one. 

25' Alicia Mitchell (CT) The 6'3 post showed agility and solid lateral movement. Ran the floor well, snatched rebounds at the highest point delivering pinpoint outlet passes to start transition. Nice form on jumper and finished well around the rim.  Would like to see early post position, more physicality and aggression. Keep note of this one, she currently holds 7 offers. 

25' Tiyara Gonzalez (CT) small compact PG with an extreme work ethic, she exerts maximum effort defensively on every possession and communicates well to teammates. Showed growth as she played with more pace and let the game come to her, much improved from the previous look. Consistent jumper is needed to increase stock.

26' Sidney Smith (NJ) Young guard played with a calm, purpose and a controlled pace. I noticed a boost in confidence (body language) and an improved skill set over the past few months. Ball and body control, added shiftiness with quick reads and release of the bounce in the midrange.  Next step increased communication level, One to watch   

27' Kayden McDaniel (MD) Smooth, confident guard with tight handles, quickness and vision. Before I put my bag down, she caught my attention with a tight cross into a pure step back from range. She played with more intent since last see (winter series) aggressive off the catch and with more force as she picked her spots, created off the bounce.  Solid combo guard, I'd like to see more activity on defense.  I predict a breakout Freshman campaign. 

27' Josephine Pinnock (NY) Young NYC  guard plays with a natural flare and is very heady with the ball in hand and can score it.  She accepted pressure and created well out of traps. Great off the bounce as she manipulated the lanes making plays for self or others.  Can get too deep on drive at times with no plan but that will improve with maturity.  Very intriguing young prospect, high school ready. 

29' Payton Pugh (NJ)  Spark in a bottle !! The  young prospect showed she belonged, her quickness and defensive instincts are well beyond her age. Solid handle, distributed to teammates in position to score and score a few buckets herself.  Scrappy and with a nose for the ball she snatch multiple rebounds from the  guard spot. Improved shooting will open her game up. One to Watch
