In a thrilling championship game, the Portland Pilots claimed their second West Coast Conference (WCC) Tournament Championship in four seasons by defeating the Gonzaga Bulldogs 64-60. The victory marked the sixth time that the Pilots have earned a spot in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

Portland faced a tough start to the game, trailing by one point at the end of the first quarter and facing a 33-22 deficit at halftime. However, they came out strong in the second half, cutting the Bulldogs' lead to nine points and then going on a 12-0 run to take the lead with just 23 seconds left in the third quarter. The Pilots relied on their inside game, scoring 14 of their 26 points in the paint.

The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with the Pilots managing to maintain their lead thanks to clutch baskets from Emme Shearer and key defensive stops. Maisie Burnham led the way for the Pilots with 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals, while Alex Fowler added a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. McKelle Meek also contributed 12 points and four assists. Burnham and Fowler were named to the WCC All-Tournament Team, with Fowler taking home the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award.

With their championship win, the Pilots secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they will look to build on their impressive performance in the WCC Tournament.
