Unity 2027 Champions

The Best of the Best National Showcase featured several talented teams that came as far as California, Oregon, and Maryland. The event was hosted by the DC Queens and took place across various venues across the Dallas, TX area. Each winning team received a trophy and a grand prize of $500.

Unity 2027 went 5-1 and they have several players to keep an eye out for. They took a loss to a talented ML20-Oregon City team and was able to get a rematch in the Championship who then won when it counted. Trinity Boone is a true point guard that can score and distributes very well with good court vision. Dasia Scott has good size in the post, not afraid to use her body and is physical. Jazlyn Rhodes gets the job done on both ends of the floor, she's athletic, good hands on defense, and can get to the basket. De'Andra Minor is another athletic player that's long and athletic, she can handle the ball and finish at the rim.

DC Queens White went undefeated and won the 8th grade division. They have size, speed, and scorers. Their defense gets them going and they are off an running on a fast break. Maci Pringle can get down hill and finish at the rim, plays uptempo defense. Added size in the paint from Amaya McDonald and Kaylin Jackson can both rebound and run the floor.

Cal Sparks SS24 Select went 3-2. They have good front line with size in the post. Jaylee Moore has very good size at least 6'2 with good hands and can run the floor. Juliana Lemus and Ramie Chatman can handle the ball, attack and get to the basket and also showed good court awareness.

Team Takeover went 3-2 and they had some tough battles in their bracket. They play aggressive with solid defense with their full court press. Jevan Collier was a top performer for the team.

ML20-Oregon City went 5-1 is another good group that plays well together. Their point guard Love Lei Best can see the floor and knows how to make a pass, of course she can score as well. Kendall Dawkins and Love Forde have good size, can run the floor, and can finish around the basket. This team also has a good support cast that can shoot outside.

New Mexico Zias 2028 Went undefeated and pretty much ran through the competition with ease. They did face a tough North Texas Tarheels team in the Championship and managed to ease by with a 32-31 victory. Jordan Stokes is a crafty point guard that can get to the basket and shoot from outside. Allison De La O is another weapon that can break the press and score with ease. NM Zias also plays good team ball with a nice supporting cast of players that play hard.

Team Lex 2028 went 4-1 who is another competitive team to be on the lookout for. They are led by Chasia Allen who's a tough strong guard that can handle the ball, score, and dish it out. She also has some added help in the post from Keliah Thomas- Browne and some scoring help from Addyson Flowers.

West Texas Canes Still Undefeated!

The West Texas Canes 2030 are still undefeated. This group is unmatched and are skilled young players. They went untouched and beat teams by more than 10+ every time. Who can hang with this team? The Canes are fast, physical, aggressive, play full court defense, and can score. Their guards can get to the basket and shoot from outside, they are just a tough group to handle. Aubree Minor has good athleticism and can score, Makayla Jefferson was knocking them down back to back from outside, Adelina Kennard was another tough point guard. This team is very competitive at the guard position, they still have a few more that weren't mentioned, just know this team is looking for the smoke and they will give it to you if you want it.
