ECU definitely put on a great competitive game against Memphis. Of course, Memphis needing a key win looked to ease by ECU but fell short.

Brandon Suggs’ hit the game-winning  jumper that gave East Carolina a 72-71 victory. The loss makes Memphis (9-7, 3-3 AAC) second in a row after losing a road game against UCF earlier this week.

East Carolina (11-5, 2-2), happen to be undefeated at home this season (10-0), rallied from a 10-point deficit with 2:13 left in the game. Memphis led by as many as 19 points and led for more than 36 minutes.

Freshman Jalen Duren had 15 points for Memphis. Suggs and Jackson led the East Carolina with 17 points each.
