The Dallas Mavs had a home game against the Spurs and took care of business. The Spurs, not as good to start the season came in 1-4 while the Mavs were 3-1. The Spurs jumped out to a 20 point lead but could not maintain the Mavs from scoring. The Mavs got off to a slow start but rallied back and went on a 31-4 run.
The second half was relatively close throughout with some momentum changes from both teams. Of course the fourth quarter tended to be back and forth action between the two. Luka Doncic decided to turn it up by knocking down contested shots inside and out, while of course getting the ball to the open teammate.
The Spurs, Dejounte Murray, had a good game but needed more contribution from the team. There were at least four Mavs players in double figures that contributed to the win.
Dallas Mavs: Luka Doncic 25 points and 5 assists. Jalen Brunson had 19 points and 7 rebounds, and Maxi Klebler had a double double with 12 point sand 10 rebounds.
Spurs: Dejounte Murray 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Jakob Poeltl added 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Final score Dallas Mavs 104 beat the Spurs with 99. Dallas will play another home game Sunday afternoon against the Kings.
