Queen Of The South Reviews

Had the opportunity to travel to Dallas, TX to check out the talent at the Queen of the South Event. Was extremely excited to have a chance to identify new players that stood out.

This event had top tier players that competed against high level competition across Texas and surrounding states.

Was extremely impressed with 5'11 (2023) Tyrina Stanford for (Missouri Phenom KC 16U Amanda) this kid was a problem on both ends of the floor from the start. There was no answer for her at all. She got to the bucket and knocked down 3's at ease. Tyrina controlled the game and did whatever she wanted at will. Luckily, she had help from teammate 6'3 (2023) Lily BA (Missouri Phenom KC 16U Amanda) showed amazing footwork, was also able to guard at the perimeter, control the paint, and dominate the boards. She is going to be a solid mid-major player.

Another player that was consistent all weekend was 5'8 (2022) Nyanna Robertson (Cy Fair Warren EYBL) she put on a show. Smooth handles, explosive off the dribble, disruptive on defense, and her impressive quick release was unstoppable. Extremely fun to watch, as in one game she caught fire and couldn't miss a shot. A definite BCS player.

Other players that stood out was 6'3 (2023) Jade  Weathersby (Lady BlackHawks Co), 6'2 (2023) Tatum West (Higher Goals 2023) 5'6(2023) Mya Johnson (Higher Goal 2023) 5'11(2022) Ashlon Jackson (S.A Finest Cee Lou) 5'9 (2025) Aaliyah Chavez (Cy Fair 16U Coop) 6'3 (2024) Vivian Iwuchukwu (Players First) 5'5(2022) Nyteria Colbert (AD Elite) 5'10 (2024) Kennedy Evans (Pro Skills Eybl 16U)
