2028 Standouts

28' Morghan Reckley / Georgia Southern Starz

One of, if not the best guard in 7th grade division. She has elite quickness, handles strong with both hands manipulating through press defenses with ease. A menace to opposing guards with her activity and quickness, turning teams over from the constant pressure.  She had her way in transition as she probed the lanes looking for streaking teammates. She got paint touches at will and sometimes over passed, I'd like to see her call her own number a bit more; reminds me of a young Rori Harmon. One to watch !!

28' Leah Dewitt / Georgia  Southern Starz

A speedy guard, active with high energy that plays with a bit of an edge. A shooter with quick release and unlimited range which has been consistent throughout the sessions. In the final weekend she hit shots well beyond the line and showed willingness to put the ball on the floor in transition or taking advantage of close outs getting into her floater or finish at the rim.

28' Mackenzie 'Blu" Jackson / Team Durant

Very productive and vocal player for her squad throughout the weekend. She is shifty with the ball and excels in transition situations getting to the rim or creating space for her pull up which she went to often with success. A physical player who searched out contact playing off of the physicality of defenders, her strength and solid frame allowed her to absorb and finish.

28' Alyssa Hildago / Exodus

High energy player that is not afraid of physicality, aggressive defender and has a knack for tracking the ball. She outworked opponents gaining a number of extra possessions for her team. Still finding her way but effective, she moves well off the ball, sets solid screens and is a streaky shooter hitting timely shots. Does well on downhill drives with unorthodox finishes at the rim through contact.

28' Taylor Stansfield / FBC

A poised lead guard with size who seemed to grow an inch or so throughout the four sessions. A composed player who doesn't get sped up under pressure although she is playing up in class. She was more deliberate in attacking off the dribble and was her usual self a shot maker and continued to be consistent from beyond the arch and midrange out of set plays. An able defender and rebounds well from the guard position. Tons of potential

28' Layla Hall / FBC

First look at this guard, quick first step and change direction on a dime as she looks to make things happen of every catch. Athletic with nice elevation on her jump shot, needs to work on consistency but it's there. She was also very active defensively with long arms and had a number of blocks out of the help position.

28' Annie Gentile /NJ Raptors

Skilled PG with an understanding of how to play the position. She caused headaches out of the PNR, finding roller, attacking for pull up jumpers or kick outs to shooters. She read traps well, utilizing a textbook retreat dribble to attack the high side defender.  She has a competitive fire and competes on every play.
